Our Story

"The best gifts are not the ones remembered for a day — but the ones that quietly become part of everyday life."

Where it began

The family's journey began during the time of partition, when everything familiar was left behind.

What followed was not just survival — it was creation. Building a business rooted in metalwork at a time when the country itself was being rebuilt. The locomotives they contributed to became part of a growing nation's movement, connecting cities, enabling trade, and quietly shaping everyday life.

Over decades, this became a deep and practiced understanding of material, form, and durability. Metal was not simply a medium — it became a language. One that was refined, passed down, and kept alive across generations.

What changed

Raasaé carries this legacy forward, but in a new context.

Instead of infrastructure, the focus is now on celebration — the moments that bring people together and define personal and cultural milestones. The same mastery of craft is now applied to home décor and gifting pieces designed to be part of these occasions.

At its core, Raasaé is about thoughtful gifting at scale. Creating objects that feel intentional, culturally rooted, and relevant to Indian celebrations today.

How we design

The design language draws from cultural familiarity — materials like brass, forms inspired by tradition, symbols like the lotus — but presents them with modern clarity and restraint. We avoid excess. We avoid imitation.

These are not decorative pieces that sit in a box. They are keepsakes designed to move from a celebration into a home, from a home into memory.

What we make

Raasaé specialises in home décor and gifting pieces for weddings and large-scale celebrations — from welcome gifts to in-room accents and ceremonial keepsakes.

We work primarily in brass, steel, and mixed metals, translating traditional craft into forms that feel relevant for modern homes. Every piece is made with attention to finish, proportion, and quality — ensuring that large orders feel as considered as a single, carefully chosen gift.

Why it matters

In Indian culture, gifting has always meant more than exchange. It is a way of expressing care, respect, and presence.

Raasaé exists to bring that thoughtfulness back into scale — to make sure that what we give, especially during important moments, carries more than just form.

Because beyond the object, what people are really exchanging is a sense of presence, intention, and belonging.
